Subject: Big game at SHU

Blue Devils would like to grab their 3rd win on the road to open the NEC season and keep pace with RMU and FDU in 1st place heading into the homestand vs. thorn-in-the-side Monmouth and pre-season league favorite FDU.

Sacred Heart(5-7, 2-1 NEC) is much improved this seaon and are led by the NEC leading scoring combo of Trim and Frye. The Pioneers have nice wins over AE pre-season favorite Albany, at SFPA, and home vs. a hot Wagner team. They also have close losses at BC, Miami, and URI. Both teams' RPI are similar (SHU 204, CCSU 207).

CCSU is not very deep this season (85% of scoring from starters), but is very well balanced with 5 players averaging 10+ ppg. Fairfield is not a very tough place to place (only short bus ride from NB and they don't draw well at all). So I expect a small crowd, a good game, and a Central win!

I agree with most everything you said.
There will probably be more CCSU supporters than SHU.
It should be an exciting & close game w/SHU winning at home.

I usually make my pilgrmaage to my old turf (Nothern FFLD county), but this year I willl be there in spirit and online. Hope they dont lose power on press row... I can donate a Battery Back up power supply to the broadcast team. :)
