I really hope FB doesn't take a step back with the coaching change. We did have a nice list of incoming players, so that is good news. And of course the NEC is allowing up to 30 schollys which should help us further in recruiting. If Masella had returned we would have likely been the pre-season favorite, but now I wonder what the "realistic" expectations are. I think they can finish anywhere from 8-2 to 2-8 - so much is unknown right now. Let's just hope the team attitude and effort is as good as it has been the last 2 seasons!

As for the 2006 schedule, looking at some of opponents' releases and previous info posted here, this is what I have (times TBA):

9/2 vs. MARIST
9/9 at Georgia Southern
9/16 at Southern Conn. St.
9/23 at Albany
9/30 vs. ST. PETER'S
10/7 vs. ST. FRANCIS (PA)
10/14 at Robert Morris
10/21 vs. WAGNER
10/28 at Monmouth
11/4 vs. SACRED HEART
11/11 vs. STONY BROOK

(home games in CAPS)

Correction: 9/30 at St. Peter's

CCSU is returning a trip to the Peacocks. They play their home games at a city-owned sports complex in Jersey City. SPC also faces SFPA, Monmouth, and Wagner from the NEC, as well in-state neighbor (DIII) Western Conn. St. this year.

Unless the Central/Southern game is played at New Briatin, the Blue Devils will play 4 in a row on the road. After playing 4 of the first 5 games away, 4 of the next 6 are home at Arute.
