Subject: Seymore says he'll sign with CCSU today

Here's an All-State forward from Delaware. At 6-1 he may be undersized, but sounds like a hard worker. He turned cancelled a visit to Boston U.

All-State basketball forward Joe Seymore said Sunday night he will sign a letter-of-intent today with Central Connecticut State University, an NCAA Division I team that plays in the Northeast Conference.

Seymore averaged 18.3 points as Hodgson (22-4) reached the semifinals of the state tournament.

Seymore is currently playing AAU basketball for the Police Athletic League of Delaware team. It was with the PAL team that the 6-foot-1 Seymore started drawing serious attention, particularly from CCSU.

"About a month ago, they saw me play in an AAU tourney," Seymore said. "That's when they pursued me, and from then on, things got better and my options got brighter."

Seymore made an official visit to the CCSU campus in New Britain, Conn., and shorty after returning home made his decision. He canceled a planned visit today to Boston University. Seymore said others showing interest included Colgate and Quinnipiac.

"Everything just had a very good feel," Seymore said of CCSU. "I felt it was the best place for me."

Said Hodgson coach Ed Sobocinski: "He deserves it. He's one of those kids who came into his senior year and worked harder than any other kid in the gym, and it all worked out for him."

At 6'1", I don;t think he will be playing forward.
Probably a 2 guard.

Great...finally some good news out of the recruiting world. This kid is listed as the #5 DE prep (one notch below D.Johnson). He was Flight B team one, all-state, and a Mcdonalds all american nominee....sounds good to me. Let's get a few more!
