Dissapointing game tonight! CCSU's defense was STELLAR in the first half, forcing turnovers, and making big stops. The offense could never get going...ever draw play and option was snuffed. Sheard has a very unimpressive game..frequently looking like a deer in headlights on the option plays. CCSU held strong through the first half, but fell apart in the second. Hopefully, we can learn from the loss and have a strong road game at Marist next week.

Yeah very tough game. Also, they had too many special teams mistakes! I knew the Defense would be OK this year, but without Dolch the O could be in trouble until they get some experience at QB. But it sounded like the back-up QB played well in the 2nd half, so that was a positive. URI was much better than anyone they will play for the rest of the season. Marist will be tough next week, but the big NEC games begin with UA at Central in 2 weeks. Monmouth will be a handfull too.

#10 the back up QB (Aubrey Norris) did look pretty good, however it was after the point of blow out, so I do not think he faced the full force of RI's D like Sheard did. Norris appeared to run and throw better than Sheard, who was hesitant to launch a pass all night. Central's Defense really did put out and excellent effort, forcing big plays when needed, but basically were overpowers and demorialized with no offensive follow up...hopefully the O can fire on all cylinders at Marist
