Too be honest, we really should have lost that game. Albany went ice cold from the floor at the end. We did everything in our power to hand that game to them. We had a 10 point lead with about 5 minutes left. Our big man hit some big freebies at the end to seal the victory. Hobson hit a big 3 to tie the game late.

[> SHU and the rest of the NEC -- J.J., 12:17:59 11/22/05 Tue

Listened to the end of the SHU game. It was certainly an upset and Albany had tons of foul trouble and poor shooting, but give SHU credit they were agressive and won in a hostile gym against the AE favorite. Its a good sign for the NEC team picked dead last by coaches, especially after the tough game vs URI.

Also, The Mount won a big game at home vs. Binghamton (a team CCSU will see twice). Again, an NEC team picked near the bottom knocks off a highly respected AE team. And QU (which I only root for in very rare occasions) also notched a win vs. New Hampshire. The NEC is 3-0 vs. the AE, a good start to the OOC schedule.

Don't forget tonight CCSU faces Florida International in Miami (Radio 1410 or Stretch Internet). I'll be listening to the game while the LIU vs. Columbia game is on the TV (FSN-NY) in the background. I was hoping to see the new LIU arena, but its construction is off schedule and the game will be played at Schwartz.
