Well, its was dissapointing loss, but I agree with the Dickeman quote - SBU will be one of the most improved teams this season. I would have liked to notch an A-10 win on the road, especially up there.

What a very vocal crowd - something Detrick should be like too! They were shouting at every airball and bad call, and the "middleton" chant was funny. Both Bing and SBU sounded like very good home court crowds.

I think the Harvard/SBU games prove that a team that lives by the 3 will not always be "on." The shots didn't seem to fall for us last night, and I'm not sure if it was poor CCSU shooting (as suggested by the CCSU announcers) or SBU's good defense (as cited in their press release). Anyway, what I didn't expect was the poor CCSU defense. We need to get back in transition and can't take any team lightly!

The next game is much more important. NEC opener at SFNY in Brooklyn (on TV!). CCSU hasn't played well there in the past, but we need to start 1-0 in the NEC and knock off a good Terriers team that has wins over Fairfield and Fordham.

It was more the poor shooting. There was good ball movement and screens and most of the threes were not contested well.

The defense from CCSU was not as bad as you would think. The strength of this bonaventure team is its transition offense and CCSU did a good job defensivly in the half court with a hand in the face of almost every shot.

The difference in the game was rebounding. I think it was 20-6 in second chance points.

Judging by the three NEC teams i saw this year i would say that CCSU played the best "brand" of basketball amongst them. If they hit their open shots the game would have been much closer.

Good luck on the rest of your season.
