Subject: Football - week 1

Game notes are posted. Colgate looks be be a contender in the PL, so how will the Blue Devils fair following up such a strong season last year? New QB and looks like Harge is still hurt (not on the 2-deep chart). The O could struggle a lot in Hamilton. Lets hope the D plays well and we keep can cover a spread of +24.

In other NEC games:
I'd like to see how Monmouth plays against its PL foe - I think it is a good measurement of how we may stack up against the Hawks this year.
SFPA, Wagner, and RMU should secure OOC wins. Could all be close games, but let's hope the strength of the NEC is better than the MAAC or Pioneer.
SHU is my upset! They finished as a hot team. The have a great RB, a fine WR (that also plays hoops), and replaced their QB with an experienced kid from UNLV. It will be close, but very possible.

Fitton Field holds 23,500. Last year HC averaged just under 5,500. I don't think you'll have a problem.

There were 4,500 there, which is a stretch, IMO.
SHU was not that impressive in their opener.
Except for the first 5 minutes when they went up 14-0.
I don't expect them to be a force in the league this year.
