I agree its harder for the UConn's of the world to keep a team togeather for long (kinda like free agencey in the pros), but they can always get the blue chips which are next to impossible at the mid-major level. I do think some mid-majors teams that have a few season to gel can make a big impact one year. However, as was mentioned before, the elimination of the 5/8 rule give the big dogs the opportunity to reload, not rebuild.

I can't wait 'till next week for some hoops. The 1st NEC team in action is RMU vs. Morgan State in the Guardians Classic on Monday. Then the QU/Penn PNIT game will be on TV Tuesday. And of course the Blue Devils have the Mohegan Sun on Fri/Sat. Generally I'm rooting for all the NEC teams (except QU) in OOC games to improve our RPI and advance the NEC's conference ranking. Can't wait!

There a saying around here... Uconn does not rebuild the team ... they just reload it....
