The Courant article indicates that certain players "aren't ready yet" and that is fine w/ me. I trust the coaching staff knows who's ready and who's not. But after watching the FIU game in person I think that Central needs to sub in some more height for defensive reasons. I'm not even asking them to shoot the ball - just play in the low post and don't let the kid from FIU get 10 lay-ups. As bad as CCSU's shooting is at times, I was most disapointed in its defense. That is a CCSU trademark and FIU had it too easy.

It is still very early in the season and the team is fairly young so I'm not overly concerned, but I don't think anyone really expected to lose 2 at home already. The OOC schedule was set with some winnable games (home vs. Colgate, Samford, FIU, and Loyola) and some really tough ones (@Niagara, @UConn, @LaSalle, @Santa Clara). They've missed 2 of the good chances early and its only going to get harder to get those back.

BTW - I think the whole NEC has been disapointing so far. Other than SFNY win over a struggling St. John's, no NEC team has had an upset win. FDU and RMU have had very tough schedules, but the only near upsets have been FDU vs. Pepperdine and Buffalo and SHU @ Penn St. Too many teams (Do you hear me, QU) are padding their schedule with DII or III teams!
