Subject: Keep losing

Howie must be seriously disappointed with his recruits. Brooks was a junior college player, if he isn't ready to get ANY minutes by now, especially at a low D-1 level, he will never be. Sobers has a rough time not fouling people every minute. Still not sure why were playing 3 guards and still can't seem to cover opposing teams 3 point shots. Are other teams just shooting over us or what? Any observations?

CCSU20M - I agree with you that if a JC player isn't ready now five games into the season, when will he be? As for Middleton, expect him to redshirt, as that was probably the plan all along. Beaudet probably still needs some work offensively, but can't he play some defense now? Anyway, SFPA wasn’t supposed to be an easy game on the road, but you just can't blow a big (17 point) halftime lead when CCSU started out so well. However, Lucky is a very good player in the NEC and the Flash could easily finish in the top 4 - we will see them again in NB. Next up is LaSalle, a tough test in Philly. As bad as things look to date guys there is lots of reasons for hope, especially in conference play because I expect a close NEC race without a dominant team.

The good:
Good play in the 1st half all season long
Improved FT shooting from last year
Aggressive rebounding from a “smaller” team
Obie and Pittman playing well

The bad:
Horrible 2nd half shooting efforts all year long
Cold 3-point shooting and a weaker 3-point defense
4 game losing streak and a tougher OOC schedule to go

The ugly:
If things don't get better the trip to Hartford and Calif. could get ugly.
