Wagner makes a return apperance to the list, as does 2 of our OOC wins (not so good for SOS):

# 3 La Salle (3-8) Take away unheralded star Steve Smith and the Explorers are Savannah State. Smith had 23 and 11 in a game where La Salle scored 42 points.

# 7 Wagner (1-11) Two quick notes: Wagner serves really good Staten Island hero sandwiches in its press room and it's making a trip to the ultracool Pipe Organ at LIU Brooklyn this week.

# 9 Santa Clara (7-8) When you host a tourney, you are not supposed to lose to Central Connecticut and Yale. Losing to BYU afterward not a great warmup for Gonzaga. How did Broncos beat UNC???

----
Boy, ESPN really likes that campus on Staten Island - ferry ride, pretty campus, good food, etc. Also, LIU should get some more press come March when they close the books on that theater (I mean gym). Yes SC it does suck losing in a tourney you host to lower ranked teams (see Samford), but lets hope they upset Gonzaga on national TV.

Who is going to play the organ. Eddie Layton usually plays it there. Unfortunately, He is no longer with us.

Wagner can't seem to get off this list and the NEC gets a nice jab. Also, a horrible outing by UHa grabs some undesired attention, at least for a week.

# 3 Hartford (5-9) Hawks did Black Knights one better (or seven worse), "rolling" to an almost-incomprehensible 22 points (on 14.6% FG) in a 51-point loss to BU. Next time out, they had 46 points -- in the first half. Weird.

# 8 Wagner (1-12) One-point win over Albany early in the season saving them from Savannah talk. Worst team in the NEC, which is saying a lot this year.

A new NEC team makes their first apperance:

# 9 Sacred Heart (1-13) Apologies to Wagner from last week -- Sacred Heart probably is the worst team in the NEC. These guys led UConn at the half?

They just beat Quinnipiac to go 2-13 & finally get out of the basement (for the time being).

#6 Monmouth (8-9)- Loss at Sacred Heart was pretty poor, but this is more of a slam on the NEC, whose leader has a losing record (like Coppin in the MEAC).

Play-in game here we come!

Yet another opponent makes its debut on the infamous list:

#6 Florida Intl (8-14) - Have yet to win a Sun Belt conference game in fewer than 5 OTs.
