Fair enough - CCSU's last 2 years have been just OK. The team salavaged last season only by making the NEC finals. However, 4 conference final apperances in 6 seasons (and 2 NCAA bids) is probably something only a few mid-major teams could match over the same period. I know CCSU has only had 2 very exceptional seasons, but they have been solid for the past 6 years overall. I'm sure CCSU's resume matches up with some of the 64 teams in this years bracket buster. So where are our friends in Bristol?

Yes, Vermont is a great team (I would love to schedule them), but explain to me the 2 teams from the Big West and Mid-Con and how about Fairfield from the MAAC.

How about this: Monmouth is 11 games over .500 in the past 2 seasons. They finsihed 2nd and 1st respectively in the NEC the last 2 seasons made the NCAA tourney last year. Also, Wagner is just one year removed from back to back post season appearances (2002 NIT/2003 NCAA). So aren't they both worthy to represent the NEC?

What this says to me is that the NEC doesn't get any respect in the mid major category. Let's face it the NEC just isn't respected as much as we'd like, otherwise we would have gotten at least 1 out of 64 mid-major teams in the Bracket Buster tourney, right?
