Personally, I think a free site is probably the best way to get the most people to listen to games, however if the quality is too poor its not worth it even if its free. My case in point was the UMass game, I listened on MassLive instead of Sportsjuice 'cus the quality was so poor (low volume and too much background noise). However, that being said I found most games that I listened to the sound quality was pretty good. If Sportsjuice can assure decent to good quality I'd stay with them. I mean in comparison, what is the sound quality of a 5,000 watt AM station anyway? Unless the Sports Pass is expected to be a big money maker for the school (which I doubt), I would probably shy away from it only because it limits your casual audience.

If the Sports Pass program is going to cost CCSU any significant cash for production, equipment, etc., then I'd say NO WAY!! I don’t see the return on investment. The $ would better be spent buying a TV game like QU does, or adding collegesports.com merchandising to the website like most other partners do, including MSM, SHU and QU.

sports pass is free for CCSU because they are a collegesports.com memeber, that is why it is a possibility. But CCSU doesn't want to charge people to listen to games, so there lies the dilema.

If sportsjuice was good most of the time, the UMass game as an exception since everyone was still learning how to work it correctly, then maybe that is the way to go.

the merchandising is a bookstore issue, we don't even want to get into that right now. That's a topic for a different day.
