Subject: Which stat will Howie work on this year?

OK I am using my incredible coaching skills (Ya right) and trying to figure out one stat to improve for this season. There are 3 stats that kind of jump out when you compare the stats.

1. FT percentage
2. Blocks
3. Assists

I think the new additions of Indeo 6'11" and Jermaine 7'3" will for sure bring up the blocks for this season, even if they play limited minutes.

With Tristan coming into play this season he and Lenny will split time at point guard. You will see the assists go up. Although, having a freshman at point, you may see turnovers jump up a bit. That may be a wash.

I guess that leaves Free throws, CCSU was once had an great FT percentage. That can be ramped up a bit.
(Although, CCSU went to the line 138 more times than they fouled, that says to me that the team generally does not foul as much.)

What do you think?

FT!!!! Those are like free points. Rememeber about 10 FT are the difference between an L and W vs. Providence and Niagara last season.

Nice article in the Courant. Lots of depth and lineup options this year. Even if they are not the most talanted starting 5 in the NEC, they should be the deepest team in the league.
