Subject: The Crazy NEC

Wow, Central wins 3 in a row, including MSM, MON and FDU. Then MSM beats #1 SFNY. Quinn has lost 4 in a row, but beat CCSU, MON and SHU! LIU is tied for last place, but also beat MON. Also, MSM has lost 4 OT games!

Clearly the final standings won't count much, but you must make the tourney to win it, so 3 teams won't have a chance. Who won't make the NEC tourney?

Yeah the NEC is absolutely crazy. I don't think Quinnipiac and Long Island will make it. It will be between MSM and Wagner for the last spot in the tourney. But if this season has proven anything, its that any team that makes the NEC Tourney could legitimately win it.

The Mount has certainly had some hard luck in OT games. I was at the CCSU game last Monday night and it was just an unbelievable game. But they have a young team and hopefully they'll only grow from those losses.

As of today, no NEC team has a winning record on the road and only 3 teams (SFNY, FDU, and CCSU) have a .500 record away from home. Winning on the road is a must if you expect to leave Staten Island with a ticket to the big dance.
