Baseball is the best team in the NEC, although QU has a better record right now, they haven't played as many games. They are also a better team than UConn, I don't think a win would be considered a steal. They are one of if not the best team in New England right now.

Softball is another story...

Too bad QU won the season series and remains in 1st place in the NEC, but I think we will take care of that in the NEC tourney. A really nice job over UConn and URI - 2 good non-conference wins! Clearly this team can hit and score, if the pitching staff holds teams under about 5-6 runs a game, the baseball team looks hard to beat. After a 4 game weekend series vs. Pace they face Albany, probably the best team in America East. Would love to see a nice win there. They still have to face likely NEC playoff teams FDU and Monmouth, but in the end it will come down to the NEC tournament for the NCAA bid. Also, a few more good OOC games vs. BC, UMass, Northeastern, and Brown. With a solid finish they could remain the #1 team in NE. Wow, what a program CCSU has put together in just a few years. Insider - any word on makeup games vs. Marist and Holy Cross?

those games will likely not be made up....too much of a strain on pitching this late in the season.
