I have no problem migrating the Board to a new one. I just cant seem to find any info on how to start a new board. It looks like somthing an affiliate school needs to initiate. Not a Joe Shmoe like me coud do.

I looked everywhere.......

First, rememeber this is a public board not affilated w/ the Univesity or the Athletic Department. As Insider indicated they cannot post a link to this board. This is good because it allows anyone to post messages without registering and without being edited by the school or the athletic department. However, I reserve the right to delete any inappropriate messages. On the down side, this free site does not offer many other features and publicity is somewhat limited.

I looked briefly at those BBS you mentioned, but it appears they do not get much more traffic. Most major or BCS programs have a pay site affiliated with rivals.com that includes recruiting info, message boards, and other stuff (See UConn's - <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://connecticut.rivals.com).">http://connecticut.rivals.com).</a> Other nice independent sites include UMass (<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://umasshoops.com),">http://umasshoops.com),</a> but they require a lot of work to keep updated.

Most other sites for schools similar to CCSU use free boards similar to this. See:

In the end I think this is the best spot for now. Our link on the Ultimate NCAA Message Board Link is the best exposure and I hope Insider and others on campus spread the word to students, fans, etc. As the group gets bigger, maybe next season we could look into another forum, but for now I think we should just continue to spread the word about this board. Thanks.

I was just wondering if the $$ Central used to get moved into the Collegesports.com got the school a BBoard as well.... Guess not.
BTW - I think you do a great job of moderating this board!

the new site is the basic package from collegesports.com...it does not include a board.
