It appears from the outside that Judd is trying to undermine CJ for some shadowy reason. Why? What is his agenda? And what is Sal Cintorino's agenda?

Something ugly is going on for Pioli to be speaking out like this. He is passionately loyal to CJ.

Jacobs had several good points. In the search for a new football coach, why aren't alumni resources like Scott Pioli, Dave Campo and Mike Sherman being utilized? What sort of coach can we get when a coach finds out he has to deal with Judd, Cintorino, etc.?

This treatment of CJ is awful. Is Judd losing it? Are we going to be reading about him playing Sheriff Lobo again?

I think almost everyone agrees that Judd has overstepped his authority in this incident. And it does provide a gentle reminder about his "police stop" incident. Our last president took unethical gifts before heading to Louisville, now Judd is acting like some sort of cowboy in Dodge City. I think someone from the CSU board (Mr. McHugh, Mr. Balducci, and Mr. Detrick) should pull Judd aside and tell him he has gone too far, again! When high profile alumni, like Scott Pioli, is speaking out in Courant editorials you know we are in trouble. This is bad publicity for the university, not to mention the possible damage to the athletic department.

As for our football coach, I think Schudel should stay (if he still wants it). However, this is not Nebraska, hell its not even UConn, so I’m not sure if there is any advantage using NFL coaches/executives on a search committee. The simple fact is this is not a high profile job (I wonder how C.J. even got someone with a resume like Schudel in the first place). Unless there are plans to become a full scholarships team and join the A-10 (which would only slightly increase our profile), CCSU will remain a low-major job.

I really hope this has no long-term effects on the athletic/coaching staff, athletes, students, recruits, and alumni. Central is making great strides let's not start moving backwards.

give it some time. As they say, it all comes out in the wash.
