The muscular black filly trotted smoothly into the valley. She was approaching her one year birthday, and it was showing in her conformation. She seemed out of whack. Her behind was growing faster than her forequarters, and she didn't seem to have much control over her slender yet long legs. She tossed her head defiantly, not caring what anyone else cared to think of her. Blazing green eyes penetrated and studied the other horses in the clearing, and she slowed to casually bend down and snatch some grass; quite difficult with her extra long legs. Vixen was feeling like a foal all over again, unsteady and unpredictable. But it was clear that once she evened out, she would be a beautiful filly. Her slightly short mane flipped uselessly around her arched crest as she swallowed the grass and cantered lazily to the water. After drinking her fill, she waited casually to be approached by someone. Dark Vixen usually wasn't too snappy, but when she got competitive, such as when defending her racing record, she could be quite frisky and fiery.
