Dear Future Contestants,
Hello, our names are: Michelle, Mia and Monica. We are the co-producers, co-directors of Vinselona Productions. We are having our first annual "Queen/King of Natural Glamour Pageant" being held on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 2pm. At the Downtown Louisville Holiday Inn. We have grown a little since last year, had learning experiences, and we can honestly say that this pageant will be better than ever!
You must be preregistered to enter this pageant. Deadlines are as follows: Registration period ends 03-05-04. Registration fee is $45. To ensure we have enough plaques for our contestants, please email me the names of the contestants attending. This will ensure that the contestant's name is engraved on their plaque. Registration deadlines are greatly enforced for this pageant. If you need to make a deposit, you may, but the balance must be paid in full in cash the day of the pageant.
The side events that are included in the registration fee are: Prettiest eyes, Best hair, and Angel Face. There will be one winner in each age division.
We do have seven optionals. Two are free to enter, the other five are $10 a piece. The free optionals are Interview and Most Good Luck Wishes. The other five optionals are: Casual Wear, Best Smile, Best Fashion, Best Personality, and Photogenic. In the Interview and Most Good Luck Wishes there will be one Overall Winner. In the other five optionals there will be one winner and three runner-ups.For the Interview event, contestants are 4 years old and up. Each contestant will be asked three easy age appropriate questions. For example, Sally is four years old.
M.C.- Hello Sally! Who is your best friend?
Sally- Susan is my best friend.
M.C.- Why is Susan your best friend?
Sally- Because she plays with me.
M.C.- What is your favorite color and why?
Sally- Pink is my favorite color because its pretty.
This event is great practice for contestants who wish to develope their interviewing skills for larger pageants that have interview events, and also to boost confidence on stage. Judges are looking for poise and personality.
The Overall winner will recieve a VERY nice trophy.
For Good Luck Wishes. This is like ad sales on a very small scale. Contestants go to friends, family members, etc. collect one dollar per good luck wish. Contestants must have good luck wishes turned into our office no later than March 5, 2004 in order to have good luck wish printed in our program. Example: Sally goes to Granny, ask for a $1 donation and good luck wish. Granny gives Sally $1 and writes on a piece of paper: Good Luck Sally! We love you!- Granny and Papaw. The Winner receives a VERY nice Glass Plaque.
For the Main Competition. There are eight age divisions for girls. For boys, the age divisions will depend on numbers. Girls age divisions are: 0-11 months, 12-23 months, 2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-12, 13-16 and 17 and up.
Attire is Sunday Best or Pageant dresses or Gowns for girls and Sunday Best, Suits or Tuxedos for boys. For contestants 0months-12 we strongly encourage natural contestants. But if you feel the need for make up, you may wear VERY VERY light makeup on contestants 8 and up. (ex.Face powder and lipgloss). Older contestants may wear make up as long as it is age appropriate. Please note, contestants with heavy makeup and or extreme hair pieces, will have points deducted. There will be one winner and three runner ups for each age division. Winners receive: Crown for boys, Tiara for girls, scepter, embroidered sash, and nameplate that reads "Queen" or "King". Runner ups receive a nameplate with their position engraved.
All contestants will receive a nice plaque with space to place nameplates.
The perosn with the highest Beauty Score out of all age divisions will win: a ten inch crown, embroidered sash and $100 savings bond!

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. ENTRANT MUST BE IN THE AGE DIVISION THAT THEY ARE THE DAY OF THE PAGEANT.
2. PLEASE KEEP HAIR AND MAKE UP AGE APPROPRIATE. FACE POWDER AND LIG GLOSS IS ALLOWED. BUT REMEMBER, THIS IS A NATURAL PAGEANT. WE ARE LOOKING FOR NATURAL BEAUTY. IF A JUDGE NOTICES EXTREME MAKE UP, EXTREME HAIR EXTENSIONS OR WIGS ON YOUNGER CONTESTANTS, POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED.
3. NO BASHING OF CONTESTANTS, JUDGES, DIRECTORS OR PARENTS OF CONTESTANTS. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITHOUT REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A REGULAR PAGEANT THAT DOES NOT GO TO STATE OR NATIONAL LEVEL
