My father bought purchased the watts naval chapel and nearby house in 1960 when I was 11years old. When purchased all the interior fittings were present eg pews, organ loft etc but no religious items. Either my memory is playing tricks as I believe the windows were still intact at that time which is in direct conflict with other documented history. My father sold all the pews and the organ loft but the bell was given to a friend of my fathers for a small church in ireland.

To clarify my memory regarding the window can you tell me where it was exactly positioned as I dont think it was located in either of the large end windows.

My father converted the chapel putting in an upper floor to enable him to rear turkeys and we have a number of photographs of the chapel taken a this time.

We moved from the property in 1964 when the new owner used the chapel for keeping pigs. If the window was still intact at this time it must have subsequently been removed.
