Subject: Explanation of "The Sims" and "Sim City"
In reply to: Sexy*D 's message, "I found Cally :-)" on 20:57:14 01/08/02 Tue

Sim City and The Sims are two different games but from the same company, Maxis.

With Sim City you are building towns/cities and acting as a "mayor", handling any problems with money, water/electricity shortages, transportation, etc. You aren't able to "play around" with one single household but instead with the town as a whole. You can cause tornadoes, fires and other types of "tragedies".

In The Sims, you are dealing with one household at a time, more or less controlling their lives. You can decide when they get married, who they are friends, who they fight with, among other things. I like The Sims better just because it is a lot more fun to see how they react with their different situations. Also, you are able to buy 3 different add-ons for it: Livin' Large, House Party and Hot Date.

Hope this explains a little bit for you all. I, personally, would suggest The Sims if you are interested in this type of game. It's my favorite game so far!
