Subject: flood response

I have no news to report but will do so as soon as any of the information comes my way. I'm sure this will be a hot topic at the forum being put on by the fair, as there has been no communication of information to the community by those that lead us to believe that there would be some form of relief from the threat of future damage or resolution of this years damageing effects. This issue has not been dropped and will activly persued. There has been a reminder from the State of Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs reminding anyone that was affected by the flood to call 1-877-268-3682 to apply. They have until the 31st of July. One resident contacted DOT and they seem to be waiting for more funds to contine their work. I am more than a little baffled by the seeming lack of understanding that this is an CRUCIAL situation that needs EMMIDIATE attention.
