The glossy bay stallion narrowed his eyes at the mare, looking her over. "I don't think that is a good idea...." A tense atmosphere clouded around the group, the black mare dancing from hoof to hoof, trying to control her anger. Jazzy, who had been standing quietly, suddenly reared in rage and came back down in front of Violent Victory, legs shaking the earth beneath their very hooves. "I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF! Would you like to be followed around by two horses all the time, so you never have time to make new friends for yourself or do what you want to do? I HATE IT!" she screamed, ears pinned flat against her head. She panted for a second, then her eyes slowly lost the wild look they had had, and she spoke quite calmly. "I will be going now, and I don't care if you think it's not safe. I am not a little naive filly anymore, and I would appreciate it if you stopped treating me like one" she snapped, blowing her mane out of her eyes irritably. It was surprising how a little conversation could turn into a full-blow sibling fight. Challenger spoke first. "But....you're still our 'little' sister, and it's our duty to make sure----" Jazzy roared with frustration and whirled around, galloping to the lake as fast as her legs would carry her.
