After this past Sunday's episode, all I can say is *WOW*!!!! And I thought the "Mutiny" was good--"Retribution" was even better, DW-wise! You're right, Melissa--if ever he deserved an Emmy, this is it. His sensitive portrayal of Sawyer even blows away Heydrich, IMHO. (Haven't seen Masada in so long that I can't compare it.) He actually made me cry--twice--and that never happens in naval epics! (Not that HH is your run-of-the-mill naval epic.)

I'm glad the reviewer took notice; it's a good sign! (And being on the cover of TV Guide doesn't hurt either.) I couldn't agree with more with her assessment. When are the next Emmys scheduled for? I'm sure we'll all be watching.

I must confess that I wasn't paying that close attention to the whole thing (especially during the battle scenes) because I was exceptionally tired and working on another project at the time--and a little spoiled knowing that I'll get to see it at least two more times this week--but every time DW came on the screen, I was riveted.

BTW, this seems totally irrelevant in light of his great work, but I just couldn't help noticing ... He *looks* phenomenal too!

*WOW*!!!
