Subject: New A&E Interview (Why Put It There?)

Hello. Just passing through:) Thought I'd mention that there is an interview with David Warner as Captain Sawyer posted, of all the strange places, on the A & E Horatio Hornblower message board as one of the categories (?!). He sounds very happy, actually. He should be, I think he was brilliant. A bizarre place to put an interview, but at least he has finally got some kind of presence on the A & E site. Valiantly, they tried to ignore him, even though his was a major character. Ha! Justice wins out...

Thanks for the link. I enjoyed reading it. He does seem very happy and I'm glad. He deserves it. Captain Sawyer was a great role.

You actually have to go to the msg board and then click on the interview. You can't make a direct link. However, one followup, supposedly from a moderator, says that they will be posting the interview formally once they get it all gussied up. She says the process is expensive!!!! These corporate types crack me up. I'll bet the text will have to pass through a dozen sets of hands meantime.
I did scan through the second part for his bits last night. Very much in the Hamlet style, sitting there with that, "I know you think I'm nuts so I'll do and say nutty things just to piss you off" attitude. It's a great role, not a Captain Queeg type thing, as I had been expecting.

Hi there you! Long time no see! You might think you don't know me, but you do. I changed my "handle" for this board.

I hope everything is well with you and that you'll visit us again soon.

Doh, I've gotten behind on the postings again. Welcome back, Mysteriosa! Thanks for pointing us to the interview; it's a good one!

It's a shame Captain Sawyer won't be back, especially since DW enjoyed working on the show so much--and we enjoyed watching it at *least* as much. (Maybe there could be a prequel???) It's such a great show. Turns out my sister and her husband have been watching it from the beginning and saving them all on tape; I'm glad DW finally got me into it too.

Love his new "seafaring genre," as he terms it! More more more! But he forgot to include one of his earliest sea adventures on the "list" ... The Island! (Maybe he's trying to forget that one.)

I laughed out loud when the interviewer said, "Talking about film sets, you've been in more than 30 films ..." More than 30?! Try 200! Of course, Our Hero answered the question graciously anyway!
