Subject: Grooms(s) of Pickaway county Ohio

Looking for info about Theodore Groom(s) who was last in the 1860 census Walnut Township Pickaway county Ohio. His children (Thomas J., Catherine, William T., George W., Elizabeth) show up in the 1870 census in the same township, living in the homes of others (and not all together). His wife, Elizabeth Wilkins, is not there either, but she remarried James McCann and is with him in the 1880 census, along with a daughter, Angeline Groom.

According to the census info, Theodore was born in Ohio in the 1820s. Does anyone know who his father might be? In 1860 he lives close to Benjamin Groom(s) who is close in age. Could they be brothers?

Any help would be appreciated!
