Subject: James Shellie Groom, Sr. from Chattanooga, Tenn 1892

I am the son of James Shellie Groom, Sr.
Mathis, Texas. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., May 23, 1892. He had 6 brothers , Walter, Lawton Okla.,Charlie, Died in Tenn.,Arthur, Athens,Texas , Jewel Lee (Pat), Mathis Texas, & Sam, Pampa, Texas. One sister, Sadie, Palestine, Texas. All deceased. My grandfather was Jessie Calvin Groom, Jewitt, Texas. My grandmothers name was Hester Arlena Quinn Groom. Also from Chattanooga Tenn. area. My grandparents came to Texas around 1900. Any information or help locating relatives, or family reunions, please contact me via e-mail.
