Hi all,
We are catching flack for deleting posts - and will probably catch more flack. But the purpose of the GWBUSH forum is to get organized.
So we have to come up with some guidelines for us.
The IP address trick is good for weeding out posters with multiple identities.
I would suggest we come up with guidelines, and post them. Let the people know what is acceptable and what is not. Re-emphasize the purpose of the board, give them a list of other sites to engage in slugfests. Can't please everyone, and we can't be distracted from the original purpose.
just a thought - Maybe set up another topic item that is not moderated - people can post there, if they post in a moderated topic and it has no relevance then we delete it?
Complaining isn't productive. And our job as moderators is to keep people on the issue.
I have to head off to work now, but I'll do some thinking about guidelines. Hopefully we can come to a consensus soon.
