Apparently. "gittin tuff" doesn't apply to OPEC.
OPEC is planning on cutting back oil production, and this means higher fuel costs.
Just my theories on why isn't Bush 'gittin tuff'?
- Higher fuel costs gives Bush more justification to drill in ANWAR and other protected places, which benefits his oil buddies.
- Any increases in fuel prices can be blamed on OPEC, which diverts any accusations that oil companies may be price gouging.
- Any fuel crisis can be blamed on the Democrats for not gittin tuff under Clinton.
Reviewing the recent legislation and executive orders etc. and comparing it to campaign funding sources - looks like Bush is paying off some of his buddies.
