Where did you read that article from? Courtney-LAST person I consider female rock hero. I am female. I nominate Shirley Manson of Garbage (upcoming album soon to be released) as next female rock hero or even Tori Amos [Her album entitled, "Strange Little Girls," released last week, she covers songs sung by men, one cover is Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence," who Linkin Park states as being influenced by]. Anybody want to second that motion? Or do you have another female rocker to add?
