GMA 7 at Osang, sinuspinde ng KBP!

Pinatawan ng Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) ng isang taong suspension ang GMA 7 at kinansela ang “membership privileges” nito dahil pinabayaan ng network na ipalabas ang isang programang nagtataglay ng kalaswaan.

Sa isang resolusyong inilabas ng KBP, ang suspension ay base sa mga reklamong natanggap ng KBP monitoring team tungkol sa panayam ng Star Talk host Rosanna Roces kay Paolo Fabregas na ipinalabas noong Oktubre 9, 1999.

Parehong isang taong suspension ang ipinataw kay Roces at sa GMA 7. Si Roces ay pansamantalang pinalitan ni Alma Moreno.

Naunang nagpalabas ng order ng suspension ang KBP noong March 31, 2000, subalit umapila ang GMA 7 noong June 27, 2001. Ang pangalawang apila ng network ay noong June 27, 2003 o makalipas ang dalawang taon.

Ayon sa suspension order, nilabag ni Roces ang Section A (Paragraph 9) at Section M (Paragraph 1.a) ng program standards ng television code ng KBP na nagbabawal sa mga salita, aksyon o mga gawaing bulgar, walang-galang, nakakainsulto at malaswa. Kablang din sa ipinagbabawal ng KBP ang mga garapal at bastos na mga palitan ng salita na maaaring makasakit sa damdamin ng mga manonood kagaya ng malaswang biro at mga salitang may dalawang kahulugan.

Ayon sa KBP, tunay na bulgar ang ginawang panayam ni Roces kay Fabregas dahil bukod sa mga tanong na “highly suggestive,” dinagdagan pa ni Roces ng aksyong maituturing na malaswa dahil idinikit ni Roces ang kanyang dibdib sa mukha ni Fabregas.

Samantala, ayon sa KBP Television Code, sa pangatlong pagkakataon na napatunayang muling nilabag ng GMA 7 ang alituntunin ng nasabing television code, nahaharap sila sa blacklisting o ganap ng pagkakatanggal sa talaan ng KBP.
