The quiet patter of hoofbeats gently touch your ears, as a filly comes into view. Her soft brown pelt shimmers lightly, as beads of sweat trickle down from long travelling. Ears prick forward, as the stallion enters her vision. Whom was it? Her slender legs carry her to Dog Soldiers, yet she keeps a safe distance. From the experiences in the past, it would take a while to regain trust. Nose sniffing the air curiously, she continues to scan the unfamiliar surroundings.

N.ever is it easy to walk the straight
and narrow I must admit.

H.ave I ever gone astray, you ask?
Indeed I have walked the plank a few
times, yet I always end up back
where I started.

I.t is always an endless struggle staying alert when my mind is being drafted into that deadly whirl pool of fatigue. But I continue on my back-breaking journey.

B.ut hark!
My stuborn mind has delivered me near my goal.
But where am I now, you ask?
Suspended between heaven and hell.
