When I compare her previous version of Pokarekare Ana with the new (per the Decca sample) I have to say the latter sounds a tad overproduced. What drew me to Hayley's voice in the first place was its staggering beauty and matchless purity which work to great advantage when she sings a cappella. The addition of synths and a choir in the new version take away from that a little. The producers in London with whom she worked (Giles and his dad Sir George Martin) are well-known for their application of instrumentals. I sincerely hope "Pure" puts her voice first and doesn't let the backup music run the show.
