 Claire carefully guided the caravan back to where the original attack had been.

The ground was still stained with blood, and the air still stank of death, but the scavengers had picked the bones clean. Forgotten bones of humans lay bleaching in the sun. Claire sat alone for the trip through the site, praying for her lost friends and collegues' souls.
