Claire stumbled back towards the scene of the attack. Blood and bird prints covered the ground. She saw no survivors. A few peices of human and saurian were still left, but the birds had destroyed it all. Claire searched the bodies of the dead left. She found various trinkets, and made note of who they came from. She intended to send them to families as a memorial. On one person, she found a crumpled sheet of paper. She stuffed it in her pocket anyway, even though it appeared to have nothing on it.

With the last of her strength, she jammed a stick in the ground to remember the place. Her world went dark from there as she hit the ground, soft with blood.
