The second book I read for my book chat is called On the Mound with Curt Schilling. The author of this book is Matt Christopher. This book is 106 pages long. Curt Schilling was born in Alaska but moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He was a third baseman at the Shadow Mountain High School. He then went to Yavapai Junior College in Prescott, Arizona where he lead his team to the JUCO World Series. Schilling was drafted by the Red Sox in 1985 but was traded to the Orioles in 1988. At the begining of his career not many teams wanted to have Curt Schilling because of his laziness and bad attitude. One day when he was in the weight room he met Roger Clemens who saw him not working hard and told him to Behave like a real baseball player. After that Curt was able to get himself together and was a Cy young pitcher and a 2 has won 2 world series. He won them with the Red Sox and Diamond Backs. He is married and has three kids. To me this book was a 5 because Curt is one of my favorite pitchers and i love biographies. Ned Linehan 6-13-07
