What can I say to such an allocade? I am truly touched and in no way do I feel I am in the same category as you.
You are so generous in your praise and understanding that you've brought me to tears. No, as you know, it is NOT easy to write especially when you try to squeeze in your creative time in the midst of all of life’s other demands.

Writing itself is not easy and to anyone who thinks it is, I challenge you to try. You'll find it isn't as simple as it may look. It is, however an outlet that is well worth the effort. I am truly in awe of those who day after day, week after week churn out plots, storylines and ideas that we all watch whether on television or that we read in print. A writer truly puts themselves into their work. Hopefully they put the best of themselves "out there." That is why I think that it is so hard to write something compelling that fringes on reality while not being real.

I chuckled when I read your comment about stress and dessert my friend. I wish I could indulge my sweet tooth, but unfortunately I am a type 2 Diabetic and so I have to satisfy that particular urge in other ways... fruits, juices etc. None of them measure up to the "real thing" but once and a while I sneak a taste of my husband's dessert and savour it slowly. Writing is much the same I think. You get to savour a fantasy for a short while, injecting yourself into it perhaps as one of the characters and thus escape the monotomy of your own life. A harmless diversion and we all need escape at times. Wouldn't you agree?

Hugs... Hannah
