Hi Mary. I've lurked around the storyboards a bit and discovered some of your work, which I quite enjoyed. And this was a very interesting, well-written article. Thanks for sharing it.

However, I'm not sure I agree we should judge this new show by the standard of the old LFN. I would like nothing more than to have our show back, but that's not going to happen. If we enter into the CW show thinking it will be in any way comparable to our LFN, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. There was a very specific mix of elements that made LFN special--the actors, the showrunners, the music, the atmosphere--and I don't think that magic can *ever* be recreated.

I personally think of the new show as being entirely different from LFN. It just happens to have the same name. That way if the CW completely destroys it (which sadly is a viable possibility), then I won't feel too upset. I'm excited to see any of our cast members again in a guest role, but it won't be part of my canon for the characters. Hopefully this new show and the media coverage it's getting will bring attention to the brilliance that is our LFN. In my opinion, any publicity is a good thing.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble. I'd be interested to hear what other people think about this. And by the way, that's so cool that you're a freelance writer! :)

Eve
