Madeline used all her skills as a lawyer to convinced Michel to calm down. She reasoned with him so that he did not physically harm Claire and Veronique due her antics with Nikita.

Now that Michel is more himself, he is thinking more in Nikita and how she feels than revenge, so Madeline has a different challenge, make him wait for Nikita to come back on her own.

It is difficult to foresee how this party could be rescued…It was supposed to be a happy occasion for N&M, for they to re-affirm their marriage vows in from of Michael’s “friends”…I am not sure how this party could go back to be a happy occasion. It is just sad for N&M right now…Michel probably feels guilt for submitting Nikita to all of this while Nikita might feel concern for Michel.

Hannah, so glad we have these tow chapters so closeby. Thanks! I love this story and I am looking forward for the next installment, how to make resolve this party-mess.
