According to Renaults official Belgian onboard electronics brochure both the current regular Sony 6 cd changer (CDX-T67) as well as the mp3 compatible version (CDX-T70MX) can be operated with the original Radio Renault.

You need a specific adaptor/interface though that is or will be available through your dealership. ID3 tag-reading will very very very probably not work on this construction. I'm not sure though.

The Dutch accessories brochure and pricelist only show the regular CDX-T67 which is NOT MP3 compatible. The mentioning of MP3 in the brochure therefore seems to be an error, but that does not mean you can't hook up an MP3 compatible Sony CDX-T70MX. Basically you can use any Sony changer they produced over the last 10 years, as long as it has Unilink and you have the interface adaptor ; )

All current Sony CD-changers support CD/R and CD/RW. Older models may vary on the CD/RW. I have a 10 year old Sony that plays CD/R.

Btw, you're not limited to the models Renault sells, Sony also has a 10 disc-changer. Not MP3 compatible though. They do actually have one (CDX-757MX) but it's only available in the US and Japan.
