The original radio of course has beautiful integration with the dash and upgrading the amplifier section will improve your sound noticably.

But if you want some real sound you will need to add a subwoofer, that is the best improvement for car sound period. However you then will need a decent aftermarket radio with sub-out first and of course a sub itself with enclosure and an amp.

So it's all a matter of budget basically.
