I think this boy so far only really likes you as a friend. My guy friends do this to me all the time, and they don't fancy me. Just be a bit more open. You don't have to blurt "I like you alot" because no one is really that game to do that. I reckon you should just try and get to know him a bit more. Ask him questions about the school work your both doing. If you get really confident (which I'm sure you will) you could ask him to your place for a study and maybe a movie?
