Subject: How to get him back for good

I have been with this guy for 8 months. We broke up just today. I asked him why he broke up with me, he said that he had some issues wherein he just suddenly cries in the middle of the night, thinking that he is not truthful to me because whenever he is with me, he is not the person really I am with because of all the different things which are hurtful that he does or says. He never ceases to be selfish when he talks. He tole me that he truly loves me but he cannot be with me for the moment. I am so sad because he told me that I don't deserve him because he is not whole to me. I just want a solution to this and perhaps if you can, please help me gain him back in due time. I am willing to wait for him, but what if he would find another? What if he would go back to his ex? What should I do?
