Subject: How do I talk to this guy I like?

I really like this guy and we are both very shy and my friends told him that i liked him so he came over there and talked to me but i couldn't find anything to talk about. My friend went to talk to his dad and his dad said that he thinks his son likes me too but is too shy to come and talk to me. So I don't know what to do or say to him plz help me
