Subject: Does he like me or not? What is going on?

I started liking this guy who was in my classes last semester, soon enough, we started talking. He would catch up to me after class if I walked out first, one day I said "I'm going to go eat after class," and he said he would go to. After we were done eating he said he was going to go to his class, then I said that I was going to go to the computer lab so then he said he would go there too. He skipped his other class a good bit so we could go eat and hang out at the lab. A few days a week for the rest of the semester we would go eat and then go to the computer lab. There was always a third guy there with us because he invited himself. Anyway, My crush always offered to help me with our homework, he would even do the homework and then give it to me. If I was walking with another guy, he would catch up and then get in between us, and if another guy was helping me with my homework, he would offer his help instead. One time, I let him borrow my calculator and in an email where he thanked me, he signed it "lots of love," now I know he didn't mean that literally, but I thought that he might have liked me in some way more than a friend. He started sitting by me in classes that we sat further apart before, if I was sitting somewhere else he would say "Why don't you come sit over here?" I was signing up for courses and he said "You should take THIS course," (the course was one he was signing up for). Sometimes I think he might like me but I'm not sure. Recently, I wrote him an email where I asked if he wanted to hang out on breaks in between classes, I even said I missed hanging out with him. To my horror, he read it in front of me one day in the computer lab because he had not been able to check his mail because of computer problems. I thought he would realize I liked him after reading this. After he read this, he started asking me questions about my major, internship, apartments, music, etc. The conversation was less about class and homework and more about other activities. The other day he came in the lab and sat by me and talked, but I was busy with a project and didn't talk to him much. Today he didn't come to school for the first class so we didn't have a break together. Then after class, he walked right by me without saying anything, not even "Bye." One day during class, he was sitting next to me and he kept looking at me, I didn't look back because I was nervous, then after class, he just started walking really fast and didn't walk with me. What's going on? Why does he do and say certain things and then just walks on by me at other times?
