Subject: He paced nervously....

It was the first time he had been allowed to make a phone call, and for some reason he was nervous as hell. The past few weeks had been awful, he'd been violently ill, almost out of his mind with the withdrawl, but now he felt he was ready to talk to her....

She hadn't heard from him at all, or even heard anything about him. The first week or so had been pure torture - she hardly slept, never ate, made herself sick with worry... But as time progressed, she was learning how to deal with it - and already showing signs of emerging from this whole ordeal an all-around stronger person. It was a major accomplishment for her, and although she missed him even more than she could have imagined, she was comforted by the fact that she was surviving and he would return to her oneday soon. Lounging on the couch in a fitted tee and a light blanket pulled over her, she stretched to grab the phone from the coffee table and mute the television as she answered. "Hello?"
