It had been almost eight months, he was supposed to be out in six but they hadn't felt he was ready to be released then so they had held him in longer without him being able to inform anyone except his parents. He let out a soft breath, almost more nervous then he had been...well ever. Finally he built up his courage and knocked on the door - his eyes closed for a long moment as he waited. He hadn't even gone to see his parents yet - he was just so anxious to see her, to touch her, to just be with her....

Life without him was even more different -harder, lonlier- than she had expected it to be, but she was managing. She had heard that he would be in there longer, but no one had given her any definite dates, so she had resorted to a life where she kept her cell phone on and on her every moment of every day, and thought twice everytime before she went out - just in case he happened to show one day... When he knocked, she had been curled up on the couch watching a movie - a sappy chick flick - and dozing on and off. A soft sound caught in her throat and her fingers moved to her lips, tears welling involuntarily in her eyes immediately at the sight of him. For a moment, she too was afraid that this was yet another dream, but then her hands moved to his arms, and then his chest, and then pushed back as she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, his name escaped her in a quiet gasp for air.
