But then, he was used to being disliked, and most times he prefered that to them actually liking him, that way he didn't need to make an effort to keep them around, or get rid of them which was often the case.++

  • It wasn't what he had done that she was being condescending about - it was what he wasn't doing now. And besides, she needed to get some of the negativity out of her system... but wait...
