Aragorn walked quietly into the room, glaring at the bird while it chirped away. He sat down gingerly on the side of Legolas' bed. "Legolas...I wanted to tell you that I am sorry." 'No for that bird of yours though.' "And I want you to believe me. I should not have shouted at you...And I should have known how strong your feelings are. I'm sorry." Aragorn reached up a hand and tucked a silken tuft of golden hair behind Legolas' pointed ear. For a moment, Aragorn brushed his fingertips over the milky flesh, before letting his hand drop back in his lap.
